Welcome

Welcome to the portfolio site of Jim Wayne.

Here you’ll find the work samples, clips, bio and résumé of a master's-educated web producer and multimedia journalist available for hire.

about me

I earned my master's degree in Online Journalism from USC’s Annenberg School for Communication in May 2009 and am actively seeking employment as an online content producer.

In addition to a graduate-level foundation of hands-on journalism and online production instruction, I bring a range of work experience that has entailed everything from website development to writing, editing and producing content for the web and TV. I most recently served as Executive Editor/Web Producer for a student-run digital news startup, where I presided over all day-to-day posting and production operations within a customized content management system and virtual newsroom.

I am proficient in HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop/Flash and other online publishing tools and have built live websites from scratch, which I do for hire on a part-time basis.

But I am first and foremost a journalist, eager and qualified to join an online media organization as a full-time producer.

Prior to graduate school I worked for three years in account management departments at advertising agencies in New York City and Minneapolis.
